Formerly a royal hunting estate owned by the Duke of Marlborough, The Langley welcomes you with impressive architecture. The mid 18th-century Palladian property instantly feels like somewhere you want to celebrate, enjoy a romantic getaway or simply feel completely spoiled. Inside, it's just a luxurious, although it has been significantly updated in keeping with the times thanks to a combination of original features and plush updates. Guests can stay in the grand main house or in the more contemporary Brew House.
Adding to the ambience of the luxury hotel are the impressive grounds and gardens, which are located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site and National Park. Originally designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown there are acres of formal gardens alongside bountiful parkland. It's perfect for a leisurely stroll in the fresh air, or for time spent running around with the family.
A five-star hotel is accompanied by five-star food and drink in The Churchill Bar and Cedar Restaurant. Combining indoor and outdoor space, you can dine with groups of friends or in intimate nooks. There's space for smoothies and juices, teas and coffees, Champagne and superb glasses of wine.
The spa at The Langley really takes things up a notch. Brand new and purpose built, it stands in contrast to the historic hotel and has everything you need for a luxury wellness experience. The array of facilities range from a 16.5m marble edged swimming pool to beautiful thermal experiences including a female only spa area. There's a VIP suite with couches, a private butler, Champagne, fruit and anything else that you want. It even has its own juniper-infused sauna, vitality pool, amethyst steam room and private changing facilities.
The spa treatments are as thought through and lavish as you might expect at this destination. There are four single treatment rooms and one double room, and the spa uses both Sisley and Sultane de Saba products for a range of face and body therapies. Sisley is known for its results-driven and highly focused facials, while Sultane de Saba offers luxurious body and hammam ‘journeys’. For men, they also use the luxury brand Gentleman’s Tonic. Treatments here really go to that extra level, turning them into experiences, whether you opt for a bubble hammam massage or shirodhara.
