Rockliffe Hall takes 5-star luxury to a whole new level. There is a brand new spa opening in December 2009 and it is simply out of this world. There are an impressive thirteen treatment rooms where the accomplished therapists will cleanse, exfoliate and massage away all the tension and toxins leaving you refreshed and revitalised.
The Thermal Suite, features eight heat sensations including a caldarium steam room, hammam, salt room, tropicarium, rasul mud chamber and an igloo. After your thermal journey you can relax by the pool served by the Spa Butler, swim in the large pool and take a dip in the hydropool.
If you are looking to flex and stretch your way to a healthy body, the Technogym and Kinesis Studio will put you to the test and there are two studios hosting a range of classes. Alternatively, get some fresh air while you get fit. The great outdoors offers golf, nordic walking, cycling and outdoor fitness classes.

Situated on the River Tees and surrounded by 375 acres of beautiful countryside, this exquisite hotel is guaranteed to exceed even the highest expectations, Rockliffe Hall was built in 1863 and this mansion house has been carefully restored and artistically revived with many of the original features brought back to life. Throughout the Old Hall you will notice oak balustrades, carved stone pillars, ornate ceilings and stained glass windows.
You may also choose to stay in the luxurious newly built rooms or the garden lodge houses. Whether you choose old or new you will enjoy all the home comforts and modern amenities you could possibly desire.
The Orangery deliver fine dining at its best, the Bistro offers a range of tempting dishes and the Clubhouse serves british classics in a relaxed setting. Whichever you choose, you can be sure that each dish has been skillfully prepared by experienced chefs using the finest fresh ingredients. There are two bars, the Cocktail Bar and Spikes.
Local Knowledge
Set on the border of County Durham and North Yorkshire, in-between Croft on Tees and Hurworth Village, this is a rather beautiful part of the world. The River Tees winds around the estate and makes a pretty place to go walking. Durham, York, Leeds, Darlington and Newcastle are nearby as are the market towns of Thirsk, Richmond and Northallerton. The North Yorkshire Moors are waiting to be explored.
