Spa and Leisure Facilities
As soon as you arrive via the most spectacular sweeping driveway you will be blown away by the grandeur of the building and the superior quality of the welcome.
Right in the heart of the Berkshire countryside, enveloped in parkland and gardens, it is surprising to hear you are not far from Reading, London and Heathrow Airport. There are even picturesque views of a bend in the River Thames.
Inside the famous walled garden, secretly tucked behind a rickety old wooden gate, you will stumble across the breathtaking Pavilion Spa. You will be met by a heavenly sense of tranquility and calm, and once inside you can select a sumptuous treatment from the inspiring range on offer.
Relax in the Canadian hot tubs, sauna, steam room, whirlpool spas, take a dip in the indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, or recline on the loungers next to the pool in the sun drenched garden as the clock tower chimes and the singing birds soothe away your stresses.
Accommodation
A truly unique spa experience, Cliveden is like no other. Clivedon has been pleasuring some of the most powerful and political figures in English and American history for three centuries. This Italianate mansion, set in over 360 acres of beautifully manicured National Trust gardens, has been home to three Dukes, the Prince of Wales and, of course, the Astors, the abundance of paintings and books all ooze history and fascinating stories.
Choose from Classic Doubles to Deluxe Suites and even the most charming Spring Cottage. Whatever your preference all rooms include en suite period bathrooms and lounge area.
Upgrade to a Suite for king-size beds and deep marble baths. The riverside Cottage houses up to six people and you will have your very own Butler, complimentary transport to the main house and a fridge crammed with food. Built as a summerhouse for the Duchess of Sutherland, it promises a most memorable stay.
There are three restaurants, The Terrace Dining Room, dishing up a fine cuisine with beautiful views of the estate. The Waldo’s Restaurant for serious diners with distinguished taste buds, the ultimate in fine dining, and the Cliveden Club for a more casual dining experience.

Spa Insider's Recommended Treatment
‘Magica Awakening to the Earth’ – Now this is the crème de la crème of spa treatments. This ‘deep sculpting massage’ is performed with polished red jasper and essential mineral creams. Without sounding silly, something almost outer-worldly came over me – it is quite a holistic experience, I felt completely at rest and contented.
