John Wood built The Royal Crescent, which consists of 30 buildings – The Hotel is the proud owner of two of these.
The Bath House centres around the elements of Earth, Fire, Air and Water. Ancient techniques meet contemporary therapies with great effect. There is an extensive menu of treatments available here. Just lie back and let the highly skilled beauty therapists do the work.
Move between the warm relaxation pool, the cool and tepid plunge pools, and the Sauna and Steam Karahafus. The Telegraph reported Nigel Havers’ ‘Perfect Weekend’ involved a stay at the Royal Crescent. He is quoted as saying the Spa is ‘to die for’ and you will certainly believe you are in heaven.
Accommodation
The Royal Crescent presents 45 utterly stunning bedrooms. True to its pedigree, each room boasts the restoration of authentic Georgian furniture, paintings, carpets and fabrics. It is as though you have been transported to the eighteenth century.
Choose from Classic Doubles, Deluxe Doubles and the more luxurious Suites. Whatever your decision you can look forward to an en suite bathroom, Television, DVD player, spectacular views of the grounds and seasonal displays of freshly cut flowers.
The 14 Suites are all named after historic personalities who were connected to The Royal Crescent or Bath such as The Duke of York. Some Suites feature, four-poster beds and floor to ceiling windows.
The Dower House serves splendid food from morning till night. The sun-drenched terrace overlooks the gardens and is an idyllic spot for al fresco dining, any time of day.

Bath is great for shopping; never underestimate the benefits of retail therapy! Go rowing on the river - always a delight. If you are visiting in Summer months you could take a trip in a Hot Air Balloon at the nearby Royal Victoria Park.
