Dedicated to the fitness cause, the 17 Spa at Hellidon Lakes establishes its leisure credentials in being surrounded by the verdant greens of the golf course complete with a jogging track, tennis court, and fishing lake. Inside, the transition from health to healing continues as facilities include a gym, steam room, spa pool, sun bed, two nail stations and six treatment rooms.
Of course the bit that everyone is interested in after a hard workout is some time to simply relax, and the treatments list is a particularly good place to start. Using products from industry leaders Decleor, Jessica, ESPA, Elemis, St Tropez, Fake Bake and Spa Find, the collections of facials, massages, manicures and pedicures are wide reaching and robes are available with a £20 refundable deposit.

Set in two hundred and twenty acres of Northamptonshire countryside, Q Hotels’ Hellidon Lakes takes its name from the eight lakes that define the location. A contemporary building with, as you might expect, rather scenic views, there are one hundred and two rooms that cater to families and business travellers alike. In equally accommodating style, there are two options when it comes to dining – the Lakes Brasserie offers a range of international dishes, while the more relaxed atmosphere of the Lounge bar offers lighter bites and a selection of wines and cocktails. There is also a sports bar with table football and pool.
