Placing a spa on the water’s edge is always a good start when it comes to relaxation, and is a sign that Lion Quays really know what they are doing when it comes to all things leisure. In addition to the gym and swimming pool, the jewel in the facility’s crown is the thermal suite which features a snow paradise, Livello steam room, sauna, sanarium, rasul mud chamber, ice bucket, experience showers, sun meadow and relaxation room.
In 15 treatment rooms using Decléor products the treatments list encompasses a range of massages, wraps, maternity treatments, facials, waxing and make up consultations as well as a journeys through the thermal suite designed to improve circulation, ease respiratory conditions and muscular tension or detoxify the body.
Hotel & Accommodation
Contemporary architecture on the banks of Llangollen Canal, surrounded by verdant countryside is an inspired setting for a venue dedicated to time out. With 82 rooms including family rooms and a bridal suite, the four star hotel continues a theme of understated modern design throughout the interiors, with a neutral colour palette and lots of natural light.
Meanwhile, The Waterside Restaurant serves a fusion menu of seasonal British dishes and international fare alongside an extensive wine list and al fresco dining in the summer months on the terrace overlooking the canal. While the restaurant is open throughout the day, the spa also has its own dining option in the form of Nico’s Brasserie serving lighter options.
