Spa & Leisure

The vibe in the Vita spa at Macdonald Hill Valley is a leisurely one, and as such it is family friendly with children allowed in the pool between 9am and 6pm. In a glass surround overlooking the fountain and the golf course, the pool is an extremely pleasant place to generally chill out with the sauna, steam room and experience shower located at one end of the room and loungers at the other for sitting back with a magazine.

Before and after your treatments (think massages, facials, manicures and pedicures aplenty using Jessica and Decléor products) you sit in the relaxation area – a dark, ambient environment characterised by the sound of a small water feature, low lighting, little silver buddhas and eight recliners – several with blankets to curl up in – elegantly done it is a welcome area in which to wind down.

Hotel & Accommodation

The hotel is extremely modern with the forested driveway provides an appealing starting point. Meanwhile rooms are elegantly appointed – they are spacious, have all the necessary amenities (iron, mini bar, in bathroom sound system) and long French windows that open onto that aforementioned verdant view.

There is a restaurant and a bar area which sit next to one another in the hotel, and while the service is formal, the environment is relaxed – families are welcome and you have a choice between sitting inside or in the conservatory area. Food incorporates a range of dishes including fish, steak and pasta; desserts are traditional classics; and breakfast comes in the form of a continental buffet or hot options from the menu.
