Describing itself as an ‘Irish Organic Spa’, the vaulted basement of urban hotel No.1 Pery Square in Limerick is a compact, luxury spa area in what is otherwise an elegant townhouse hotel. Using space effectively, the venue, which is over 3000 square feet, has a thermal spa which includes a herbal cocoon, aroma steam, coal bunker sauna and steam showers, as well as a snooze room and Zen garden.
Using native VOYA products (known for their potent, detoxifying seaweed ingredient), as well as Dr. Nadia Payots French range, Payot Paris; Mama Mio prenatal treatments; American Crew’s hot towel shaves; Decadence Tan; Leighton Denny Nail Care; and mineral make-up, Mii Cosmetics, the range of treatments is all-encompassing, including a plenitude of couple’s treatments alongside massage, reflexology, facials, tanning and a host of finishing touches as well.
Hotel & Accommodation
Careful attention to detail has been paid when restoring this 1860 Georgian terrace and turning it into the twenty bedroom boutique hotel that it is today. The result is a selection of period style suites and contemporary rooms, free standing baths (where in-room VOYA seaweed baths can be arranged) and views of the city and surrounding mountains of Clare.
At Brasserie One, the chef is amiably introduced simply as Patricia, and she and her team pride themselves on producing simple, sensibly-priced, sometimes rustic sometimes classic, dishes alongside an award winning wine list. An Irish brasserie with strong French influences, they use local, artisan produce wherever possible, and as testament to the quality of their menu and service, they are featured in John and Sally McKenna's Bridgestone 100 Best Restaurants in Ireland.
