In the grounds of Celtic Manor hotel, The Lodge plays host to the Ocius Treatment Rooms – a boutique venue focusing on opulent treatments and finishing touches. A microcosm of the main resort it boasts a decadent pool and a host of therapies using Elemis, Leighton Denny and Daniel Sandler products to provide skin booster facials, manicures, pedicures and massages.

The Ocius Spa is only a stone’s throw from The Manor House Hotel, a four star 19th Century manor house that has won the Egon Ronay award for the best hotel in Wales for five consecutive years. It has seventy traditional rooms – think weighty pelmets and reams of jewel coloured fabrics – and a history rooted in 19th Century industrialism.

When it comes to food there are multiple options including Le Patio serving hearty French cuisine, and their fine dining experience, Hedley’s. There is also the relaxed and contemporary Cellar Bar for light snacks and drinks; the Manor Lounge Bar with roaring fireplaces and views across the gardens; and as if that wasn’t enough, for those who don’t wish to stray from the epicentre of relaxation, the spa also has its own brasserie to enjoy lighter meals overlooking the Severn Estuary.
