Surrounded by five hundred acres of rolling green countryside it is no wonder this rural location in Colchester was the inspiration behind many a Gainsborough and Constable composition; not to mention those seeking some quiet ‘me-time’.
With a nod to Italy, the muraled walls of the Peake Spa depicting Cypress trees and clear blue skies set the tone for Mediterranean style leisure. Facilities include an eighteen meter swimming pool, Technogym, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna as well as a poolside terrace for the warmer months.
There are twelve therapy rooms offering a wide range of treatments including Decleor products and non-surgical facials, a solarium, Rasoul mud therapy chamber and a Hammam complete with mosaic tiles, soft lighting and a hot stone bed.

Opening onto the south terrace, the Lake’s Restaurant takes in the eighteenth green and offers alfresco dining in the summer, or a cosy perch to enjoy sweeping panoramas in the winter.
