If you think you might pop in to the Spa while you’re at The Tankersley Manor Hotel, think again. Because when people arrive, they often find that ‘pop in’ becomes ‘move in’.

There’s quite simply so much to do, in such a lovely environment. And when you’ve done your pulse-pumping work out, the relaxation fairies get to work, gently lulling you into such a state of calm, you never want it to end.

Visit the haven of serenity they call the spa and find a different pace of life. Calm, mellow, unhurried; drifting from heated lounger to steam room to pool to treatment room for a soul-soothing, muscle-melting massage.

Fitness fanatics will find the gym their spiritual home. The advanced Technogym equipment remembers your personal settings to help you achieve exercise utopia and give you a full body work out. There’s a brand new Powerplate, for fast toning and a team of super sporty types to give you support, encouragement and advice.

You can also join in with classes in the spinning studio and dance studio, from fast-paced cardio aerobics to funky hip hop.

Hotel & Accommodation

Sumptuous, glamorous, fabulous, glorious; suffice to say that the suites at Tankersley Manor are rather nice. There are 30 altogether, including eight Junior suites and they represent the pinnacle of luxury.

These suites all sit in the sympathetically refurbished new wing. Each one is beautifully decorated with contemporary styling and warm tones throughout, to create a cocoon-like ambience, perfect for relaxation and indulgence. There is even a separate lounge area to give you a greater sense of space and freedom, as well as somewhere to sip the chilled Champagne you can order from room service to make the occasion even more special. The extras are as lavish as the surroundings, with plush bathrobes and mineral water.

If the occasion demands serious spoiling, then plump for a deluxe suite. As well as a separate lounge and bedroom to lounge around in, you get a mega power shower in a well furnished four piece bathroom.

If you get a bit glazed ogling at the décor, you can always rest your eyes from the window across the stunning views of the peaks and dales. The menus have been devised by top chefs and whether you eat in the fabulous Manor Restaurant or the more relaxed Onward Arms pub and carvery, your taste buds will love you forever.
