In the folds of the Cotswold hills, you will find the charming The Lygon Arms Hotel, who have been entertaining guests since the sixteenth century. As you would expect, this hotel is reaped in history and much of the original stonework, and timber features has been restored to former glory with great respect and artistry.

Sat amongst three acres of beautiful grounds this is a rather splendid location for a spa break. For instance, there are not many spas with a roof which can be opened on sunny days. Facilities include an indoor heated pool, spa bath, plunge pool, sauna and a steam room. There are four beauty rooms, a team of highly qualified therapists and a menu full of tempting massages, manicures, facials and body wraps. In between treatments you may like to get some fresh air and take a stroll around the gardens.

For sporting guests there are floodlit tennis courts and croquet lawn but should you seek the challenge of the fitness centre, you will not be disappointed. The equipment is superb and there is a studio timetable full of enjoyable classes

There are 77 beautiful guest rooms at this hotel and each one has all the modern amenities you could wish for including en-suite facilities, internet access, hairdryer, trouser press, iron and a safe. Half of the bedrooms are located in the main house while the remaining rooms are situated in the Garden and Orchard wings, some benefitting from air conditioning and uber modern Bang & Olfusen audio systems.

There are six suites which date back to 1532, and this is guaranteed to be a rather special experience.

The Goblets Bistro serve traditional English cuisine with artistic flair and ingenuity to create exciting flavours for your palate making an enjoyable dining experience.
