A five star venue is never complete without a seriously impressive spa area as well, and The Scotman’s 20,000 square foot exercise and relaxation space fits the bill perfectly. Facilities include a gym, studio space for classes, a stainless steel swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa pool and tropicarium, and the area also has its own café, juice bar and a relaxation room.
There are also seven treatment rooms and in keeping with the bijou vibe of the hotel, they use the exclusive, marine based Thalgo brand in a range of treatments decadently detailed on what is described as ‘Your Perfection List’, including facials, massages, wraps, pre-natal treatments, manicures, pedicures and finishing touches.
Hotel & Accommodation
Built in 1905, the building that is now The Scotsman Hotel, was originally the home of the newspaper of the same name, and as such was built with omniscient prestige in mind. As such, the 69-room hotel retains enviable views across the city skyline as well as original interior features including the Italian marble staircase, oak panelling, ornate ceilings and marble pillars.
There is one restaurant – the North Bridge Brasserie, open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, refreshments and evening meals, when Executive Head Chef, Paul Hart serves seasonal Scottish cuisine combined with a carefully considered selection of wine and whisky.
