At Spabreaks.com the festive season is well underway – last week saw the launch of our Advent Calendar (as a fully-fledged ‘grown-up’ you don’t need an excuse for chocolate before breakfast, so you might as well treat yourself to something a little more decadent – like a spa day … ) and this week there are lots of other goodies heading your way to ensure a very merry Christmas!

Treats and Trinkets

If you haven’t quite got around to buying those final presents (or any presents as the case may be) a Spa in a Box is ideal for filling those gaps under the tree – or for a joint present perhaps combine it with a Golf and Spa in a Box – something for him and something for you!

Of course, going on a spa day isn’t just about being there, it’s also about pampering before and after your day away!  So to really spoil your moisturising-socks off, Spabreaks has teamed up with Temple Spa and Win Naturally to provide presents that ooze indulgence!

Of course, sometimes there is just so much to choose from that the only way to go is vouchers – especially if your special someone is a little tricky to buy for!

Things to do!

Last month we gave two lucky competition winners tickets to see West End Musical Rock of Ages and to meet the show’s star – Shayne Ward!  THIS month, we are offering you and a friend tickets to see the Birmingham Royal Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker at the O2 with every online booking!

Don’t forget if you know Britain’s Most Indulgent Bride we want to hear from you!  Clandestine videos or incriminating photos, we want to see how the newly engaged are celebrating this season, and we will send the most indulgent of all on a five night detox retreat at one of our favourite European destinations! Just send your entries to alex@spabreaks.com by 1st January

Places to go!

Of course we are always adding new packages to entice and delight … this week saw the arrival of some particularly special treats just in time for the party season!

Doubletree by Hilton Chester Hotel is offering 50% with their Thespa Welcome package, but get there quickly – the offer ends in fourteen days!!  The package includes a two course lunch, a choice between a Pevonia Prescription facial, anti-stress back therapy or a manicure and full use of the facilities, from £47.50 per person

Moddershall Oaks is inviting you to bring a friend along for free when you book a one night spa break, including bed and breakfast, a two course dinner, a welcome drink on arrival, full use of the spa facilities, and as the main booker you will receive a twenty-five minute spa treatment up to the value of £35.  From £200 for 2 people

Macdonald Elmers Court Hotel and Resort are embracing the season with a two-for-one offer on their Sparkle and Spice Spa Day – including full use of facilities; a back, neck and shoulder massage, and a Jessica Geleration file and polish on hands and feet from £99 for two people!

Coming up!

This week we interviewed Temple Spa founder Liz Warom about life after Virgin Vie and why Mediterranean food makes the perfect face cream.  Next week, Andrew Hansford author of Dressing Marilyn explains the unexpected quality that made Marilyn Monroe a star!  Watch this blog-space!
