Ever wondered who finds all our wonderful spa venues and luxurious packages?  Yummy Mummy and Product Manager Sarah Hill is a spa devotee  who knows exactly what it takes to provide the ultimate day of relaxation.

What do you do at Spabreaks.com?

I am Product Manager: I liaise with our venues in terms of business development and building on our current relationships, ensuring we have all the correct packages and that venues are taking full advantage of the opportunities to promote their venue on our website.  I also source new venues and generally ensure we have the right product to suit all our clientele.

Which is your favourite Spabreaks.com destination and why?

As I get to see a variety of spas on my weekly visits it is very hard to choose a favourite as every one offers something different.  However,I love Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa in Surrey just because it is pure luxury and has extensive facilities: there is not one, but eight indoor and outdoor pools including a crystal blue ballroom swimming pool complete with underwater music; bubbling hot tubs with varying jet powers and temperatures; a spa pool and hydrotherapy pools.  Also Alexander House Hotel, West Sussex because of its Roman theme spa garden with outdoor hot tub – it’s very romantic.  Whittlebury Hall Hotel in Northamptonshire is also a favourite for its fire and ice experience – the Heat and Ice Ritual guides you through a series of sensational experiences: rest in the tepidarium, sanarium and caldarium; revitalize in the hydrotherapy pool and Experience Showers, unwind in the Aromatherapy Crystal Steam Room, Roman Salt Steam Chamber and sauna, cool down in the Ice Cave and allow the foot spas to sooth your tired feet.

Do you have a favourite treatment and if so what is it?

It has to be the classic full-body massage to relieve all that day-to-day stress that builds up over time from my hectic life: working full-time and being a mummy.  It just allows me to have peace and quiet and I always come away feeling relaxed and pampered!

What is your idea of the perfect day of relaxation?

Doing absolutely nothing, having time to chill out without any distractions, reading the latest gossip in girly magazines with a glass of wine and a tasty piece of cake!  Of course it would also have to include a swim in a gorgeous pool along with a treatment for pure indulgence and time relaxing in complete tranquillity.

What’s your top tip to get the most out of your spa day?

Pack your bag the day before: check with the venue what you need to bring, what’s included and what time you can arrive from.  Always leave home a little earlier than you think you need to ensure that you have no stress being stuck in traffic and being late for the treatment as it is all about relaxing; always have a sauna or steam before your treatment and take two swimming costumes so you can change for lunch and stay comfortable.

What is your dream spa destination?

Mauritius – I know they have some fantastic spas and it is somewhere I have always wanted to visit – it’s a beautiful part of the world: exotic and romantic.

To visit one of Sarah’s favourite spa venues call the team on 0800 043 6600 or visit Spabreaks.com.
