What exactly is the Top-to-Toe Ocean Radiance?
It’s a 90-minute all-over body experience which starts with a foot cleanse using a lime and ginger salt scrub, and is then followed by a massage which commences with skin brushing on the back and uses an oil suited to the client’s requirements. There is then an Elemis facial which is tailored to the individual as prescribed by the therapist on the day, and the treatment finishes with a foot massage and mask.
Where does it come from?
The treatment is designed by Elemis and uses their products, but it is specific to our venue as we wanted to incorporate the salt element which comes in the form of the foot scrub in order to reference our seaside location.
What is it supposed to do?
It is really a total sensory experience that’s supposed to leave you feeling ultimately relaxed. It works on the key areas where people carry tension – the back, feet and face, and gives the skin a bit of a pick-me-up as well.
Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?
It’s all about relaxation, so the rooms are heated and guests are covered with a warm quilt, the lighting is dimmed and the smell of the aromatherapy oils adds to the atmosphere.
Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?
Definitely book some time in the thermal suite before your treatment to open up the pores, relax the muscles, and start the detoxification process. Afterwards guests are taken to the relaxation area and it’s a good idea to spend a little time just being quiet and drinking herbal tea or a glass of water.
Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?
It is good for men and women, and in particular people who have very busy and stress filled lifestyles, and who just need a little time out.
Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment?
It isn’t suitable for anyone who is pregnant, has cancer, any contagious skin conditions, open cuts, recent operations or broken bones.
