Currently travelling across the UK with husband, Brian McFadden, who is on tour with Ronan Keating, model and DJ, Vogue McFadden, took some time out of her hectic schedule to enjoy the spa at Christchurch Harbour Hotel.
Christchurch Harbour Hotel was such a beautiful place to stay. The moment we arrived, the friendly staff were at hand to help us with our luggage and parking. The hotel is set in a small, quaint village not far from Bournemouth. We had a stunning room with a view of the harbour. The restaurant was buzzing when we arrived, but we decided to go and put our feet up first.
The bed!!!! Oh my god, it was the most comfortable bed I think I’ve ever slept in and only because Brian had a gig at the Bournemouth International Centre that night, did we eventually drag ourselves out of it. The rooms are spotless, warm, and cosy, and there is a big bath tub, perfect for bubble baths!
It sounds odd but one if the main things I look for in a hotel is the gym facilities. The facilities at the Harbour hotel were great: there’s a full range of weights and cardio machines as well as a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The spa is brilliant. There is a collection of treatments including massages, facials and nail treatments. I went for a manicure and pedicure because I love getting them done and they always last at least a week.
The food was really good, I had the scallops for starters, that were cooked to perfection, and then the fillet steak for my main course. Again, if I had been staying longer I would loved to have tried the Harbour Full English Afternoon Tea; I spotted someone having it and the cakes looked unreal!
There is so much to do within the hotel, but as I was only staying one night I couldn’t fit it all in. If I had been staying longer I think I would have gone horse riding and enjoyed one of the three recommended walks in the area.
This hotel, to me, would be perfect for a romantic break as the food, facilities, and bedrooms are all really fantastic, and the surroundings of the hotel are beautiful. I would definitely recommend Christchurch Harbour Hotel for anyone planning a visit to the Bournemouth area.
