Proving her professional versatility, radio and TV presenter, Emma Forbes’ career has spanned everything from kids’ show Live & Kicking, to The Alan Titchmarsh Show, a long-standing role as the face of Head and Shoulders, and the accolade of number 64 on FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in 1996. Despite the busy schedule however, she still likes nothing more than relaxing with popcorn and a good movie!
What is your average day like?
My average day is always on-the-go. Normally breakfast and caffeine are the first two things I think about and then I am pretty much on-the-go all day, but it’s so varied, from meetings to shooting videos, to working on my website, no two days are ever alike!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy everything about my job, but mostly I love interacting with people, I love working alongside other people, meeting new people from all walks of life, and the variety.
What’s your idea of the perfect day of relaxation?
My idea of perfect relaxation is a day where I do everything from mani/pedi to getting my hair done – anything girly – and then a movie with popcorn – preferably a weepy one!
What do you do to stay in shape?
I stay in shape via a personal trainer. I aim to see him at least twice a week, work depending, sometimes three times, and I do everything from boxing to cardio to stretching – I also walk a huge amount.
Do you have a favourite spa treatment or one you would like to try?
My favourite spa treatment is a massage – ideally with aromatherapy oils – and there are loads of treatments I would love to try – I have never had one of those body wrap things …
What makes you feel confident?
Feeling I have done a good job – whether as a parent or in my work!
When do you feel at your most glamorous?
When I have had the luxury of having had my hair and make-up done for a job as I am totally useless at doing it myself!!!!
You have amazing skin! What’s your beauty routine?
My beauty routine is a simple one and fast, but one that I truly stick to. I am a great believer in taking care of your skin. I currently use ageLOC by Nu skin, which is a foaming cleanser, serum, and day and night moisturiser … but I love trying new products as well!
Is there a particular beauty product you can’t go on screen without?
I can’t go on screen without my sheer cover concealer … just in case of last minute redness or a spot!!!
Top tip for looking and feeling your best when you have a hectic schedule?
A good long bath with something delicious in it at night, and you can’t beat watching a good chick flick, early night, and hot water bottle!
