Ever had that feeling at the end of your treatment that it has all ended too soon? Pennyhill Park Hotel and Spa has the answer with their exclusive, three hour, Spa Dreaming treatment!
What exactly is the treatment?
Your Spa Dreaming commences with a grounding foot soak while the therapist asks you how you are feeling and if you have any particular stresses or strains you would like your treatment to help with. You are then guided onto one of our luxurious therapy beds and your therapist will check your comfort and warmth. The treatment then begins with a full body scrub with one of our natural salt and sugar scrubs filled with essential oils, followed by an application of soil rich mud, infused with the cleansing oils of our signature blend, Rosemary and Citrus. While the mud refines your skin your therapist will perform a tension relieving scalp massage. After a refreshing shower you will start to drift away into a dreamy state as you experience an aromatic full body massage followed by a balancing organic facial with our own range of natural spa products.
Where does it come from?
The treatment has been created by our very own spa therapists, we wanted to offer a treatment that included everyone’s favourite elements. The length of the treatment is so important as therapists recognise that for our guests to fully relax and let go of life’s strains they need at least two hours of treatment time, so we made this treatment three hours! How many times have you had a 60 minute treatment and not wanted it to end? The Spa Dreaming is the answer!
What is it supposed to do?
This treatment will address all your concerns from dull, dry skin to emotional stress and tension every part of your body and soul will feel revived. This treatment is all about therapy and the power of touch in its simplest form, a fantastic scrub and wrap, tension relieving massage and skin brightening facial – what more could you want?
Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?
Every treatment is tailored to our guest’s requirements. At Pennyhill Park we are so lucky to have beautiful spacious treatment rooms with heated blankets on our adjustable beds for individual comfort. We also have a range of therapeutic music our guests can choose from such as classical or eastern. The products used in the treatment are all aromatherapy based so every product used will have a particular benefit for our guests and their personal needs.
Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?
Before their Spa Dreaming it would be fantastic to start to unwind in one of our indoor or outdoor hot tubs and begin the cleansing experience in our thermal heaven heat experience. We recommend our clients use one of our beautiful steam rooms, then cool down in the ice cave to stimulate circulation. After their treatment they will either want to have a snooze in our sensory room where they can lay on one of our luxurious gel beds with duvets to snuggle or they will feel like a bite to eat after three whole hours of treatment, so they head straight for our Spa Themis restaurant for some fresh and beautifully prepared spa food.
Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?
This treatment is great for those guests who normally do not want to get up from the treatment bed when their therapist advises them their treatment has finished, as for them three hours would be bliss! The treatment is also great for someone who at first finds it hard to switch off and relax, also for anyone who is in need of total TLC, as you cannot fail to feel great after a Spa Dreaming.
Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?
During pregnancy we would not recommend this treatment as it would be too long for a pregnant guest to lay down. If one of our guests who is pregnant wanted a part of this treatment we would offer the second half and adapt the massage for pregnancy. Apart from guests who have been advised not to have massage by a medical expert there would be no other reason why someone couldn’t have our Spa Dreaming treatment, the therapists will always work with the guest’s medical history and adapt if needed.
