Described as a holistic medium, Cathleen Miller uses a combination of intuition and knowledge to reset the body, and empower and activate her clients to help with everything from physical pain to anxiety and depression. We chatted to her to find out how it all started, and what it all really means!
How did you get involved with holistic healing?
As a born healer and intuitive medium, I experienced the world differently to most others around me. Even from birth I was extremely sensitive to foods, chemicals, and subtle energies around me in a way that others did not understand. Dealing with many early health challenges put me on the path of holistic healing at a very young age. Once I realised the power of meditation, yoga and conscious healthy lifestyle as a teenager, I never looked back.
What does the term ‘holistic’ really mean to you?
To me, holistic means choosing conscious wholeness in all ways. When we consider how we are affecting not only our own body, but the ‘whole’ of humanity and the planet by eating local organic, considering eco-systems by building green and so on, this affects a much greater radius of conscious change than we can imagine. As a holistic medium I blend the use of conscious holistic living with my intuitive abilities to be able to guide clients into their highest life and health potential. My work helps to empower the body, mind spirit connection.
Do people come to you for a specific treatment or do you recommend a process depending on the problem and the individual?
Every session is a one of a kind customized process since everyone has entirely unique personal needs. Sessions meet clients wherever they are energetically, so it is the appropriate process for them on all levels. That way if you are new to alternative therapy or an advanced yogini, you can connect in a way that supports the change you are ready to create.
What do you find most interesting about what you do?
I love that my practice is always evolving and becoming more dynamic all the time. I learn everyday how new system connections are able to improve my therapy process and increase diagnostic improvements for clients. Even though I have been training over 15 years, I still feel we are only beginning to reach what is possible to regenerate and improve in our bodies and lives.
If you were to have any other career what would it be?
I am living and doing what I was born to do. My fantasy job is a comedic actress.
What is your favourite spa treatment and why?
Wow, hot lava stone treatments are awesome but a really dynamic deep tissue bamboo roller is hard to beat.
What’s your idea of the perfect day of relaxation?
A tree hammock nap next to a pristine waterfall.
Who do you most admire?
I love Madonna and Lady Gaga’s fearlessness. There is something about being unapologetically who you are which is truly remarkable to witness. I love them both for their fashion sense, creativity and sexual expressions.
What is your ‘desert island’ beauty product?
Avena Fairy Flower Creme and Rose Mist spray … ahhhh.
Top Tip for feeling your best on a hectic schedule?
Keep hydrated and stay aware of your breathing. Those are two of the easiest ways you can keep your stamina high on a busy day.
