It’s been a busy couple of years for the golden girl of British sport, but Spabreaks.com caught up with Jessica Ennis-Hill to talk time-out and favourite spa treatments!

What’s your average day like?

I wake up in the morning and have a healthy nutritious breakfast and head to training!

You have had a very busy couple of years!  What was more stressful – the Olympics or planning a wedding?

Both were very nerve wracking in their own way but the journey to both has been special and the end results even more so.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

That I get to do what I love and train in my home city of Sheffield.

Do you have a role model?

I have admired a lot of athletes including Denise Lewis and Carolina Kluft, but above all my mum!

What’s your idea of the perfect day of relaxation?

A morning of training, followed by walking my dog Myla, a spot of shopping and then an evening in with my husband (who would have cooked the dinner).

Do you have a favourite spa treatment and why?

I get a lot of massages being an athlete (which can hurt sometimes) but a scalp massage tends to de-stress me.

What is your ‘desert island’ beauty product?

My entire make-up bag; I love a face of make-up even for training!

Top Tip for feeling your best on a hectic schedule?

Eating healthily and taking your time to appreciate things.

Complete this sentence:  A beautiful woman is … someone who is comfortable in her own skin.
