What exactly is the Arrive and Revive treatment?
It’s an hour long and it starts with a full body exfoliation, then the guest showers using an oil and a mitt. They then lie on their stomach and we apply a heated moisturiser all over the body and then we lay them on their back for a facial which starts with a cleanse and exfoliation, followed by a mask suited to the client’s skin. While the mask is on we massage around the neck and chest and potentially the scalp as well for around 10 minutes. Then we take the mask off and massage the face, focusing on the eye area to help with bags and headaches. At the end we apply an eye cream as the base of the moisturiser, and then decide on a moisturiser from a range for all skin types.
Where does it come from?
It’s a treatment that we created at St Pancras Spa and is particularly good fro anyone who is on-the-go but wants to treat the whole body – so it’s perfect for our location at St Pancras International where people are usually on their way to or from somewhere. We use the Cinq Mōndes product line, but depending on the client’s skin type we change the products within that range – there are four separate scrubs and several moisturisers. ‘Cinq Mōndes’ means ‘five worlds’, so all the products are inspired by different parts of the world.
What is it supposed to do?
It is designed as a deep cleanse for the face and body, to relax the client, to moisturise the skin, and simply leave you feeling radiant!
Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?
We have different music for different journeys so we adapt that to the scrub that the client is having. If the client wants to add on an extra 30-minute treatment then they can do that for just £30 to extend the experience.
Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?
We recommend they come down at least an hour before to use the heat facilities in the spa which will open up the pores and allow products penetrate the skin a bit deeper. Afterwards we advise you don’t go into the facilities again, and instead keep products on your skin for as long as possible, and drink lots of water afterwards! The nice thing about it though is that the treatment finishes with you ready to face the world again – showered, moisturised, and presentable so you can just get on with your day!
Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?
It’s great for hen parties and groups of women. You have already showered and the moisturisers are a great base for make-up afterwards. The addition of the scrub is a little different for people who usually go for a massage, but you still get that component as well! It’s also great for anyone going on holiday because with the scrub and moisturiser it’s a great base for a tan and will help you to tan more quickly.
Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?
If you’re in your first trimester of pregnancy it is not advised, although we can adapt the treatment after that stage. In the same way we can generally adapt the treatment with any concerns, but it is advised that you speak to a therapist beforehand or your doctor if you are concerned.
