On placement from his degree studying marketing, Spa Sales Consultant, Jack Foster talks about feeling fresh faced and favourite spas …
What do you do at Spabreaks.com ?
I am a sales consultant helping people to organise their spa days and breaks at destinations across the UK, on placement from studying marketing at university. It’s interesting, and at times difficult, but gaining proper experience in a sales role is really good for my degree!
Which is your favourite Spabreaks.com destination and why?
It’s tricky! I have a few! I love Pennyhill Park Hotel and Spa because it’s really luxurious; Crowne Plaza Resort Colchester – Five Lakes because there’s lots to do and it’s fun; and The Belfry because there is a nightclub which adds another dimension to the experience. They all have something really different to recommend them and the staff at each are really helpful!
Do you have a favourite treatment and if so what is it?
A back, neck, and shoulder massage was the first treatment I ever had and it was out of this world! I felt so relaxed afterwards!
What is your idea of the perfect day of relaxation?
I’m pretty outgoing so for me relaxation would involve being on a beach with lots of water sports available, especially wakeboarding.
When do you feel at your most confident?
I don’t really lack confidence, I like the challenge of being thrown in at the deep end in a new environment, which is why I have loved coming to London for my placement year (from Liverpool).
Do you have a product you can’t live without?
My razor! That’s a necessity really!
What’s your top tip to get the most out of your spa day?
Just really making sure you take the time to stop thinking about whatever is worrying you outside of your spa break. Use all the facilities before your treatment – the pool, the sauna, the steam room, the gym, and then by the time you have your treatment you will be totally relaxed!
