What do you do?
After nine years as a copywriter I finally decided I didn’t really know what a semi-colon actually does, so now I’m a PR manager for Boots.
What makes you feel stressed?
Not a lot, but I think that’s more a matter of luck than fortitude. Yet – and it may not be daunting on quite the same level as a submarine captain, or polar bear wrestler – I do find a full and growing email inbox to be a source of crippling anxiety. Sometimes I just have to hide emails before I get eyeball pain.
What are you going to do about it this week and why?
Again, I consider myself remarkably fortunate to be able to switch off. I don’t think about work when I’m not there but that’s more of a conscious effort not to do daft things like check emails. Running is my real stress-buster though and this week my goal is to run to the exact point where I achieve inner peace but just slightly before my knees achieve an agonising and shameful collapse.
