What exactly is the treatment?
The treatment starts with a from body walk starting at the feet followed by three deep breaths with a relaxing inhalation. This is followed with an eye and lip cleanse, a double facial cleanse which is then removed with warm mitts, a deep exfoliation, a decollate, face and scalp massage, a mask, a foot or hand massage, and finishing with an eye cream, serum, and moisturiser.
Where does it come from?
This treatment was designed by Elemental Herbology, a range containing naturally active ingredients. Our lives are constantly in motion and so too is our skin. The effects of different seasons, the changes in our hormones and the lifestyle we lead is all reflected in how our skin looks and feels. Elemental Herbology were developed to help the skin meet these changes using a holistic approach. They are made in England, support responsible harvesting and production of raw materials, and ensure all products are free from synthetic fragrance, artificial colour, mineral oils, sulphates, parabens, and preservatives.
What is it supposed to do?
It is a relaxing facial using specific products to hydrate and nourish the skin.
Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?
We make sure the room is at a suitable temperature for the guest, all main lights are dimmed down with battery operated candles placed around the room. A heated blanket is turned on and soft music is played. We always have a soft blanket on the couch so the guest will feel cosy and there is always a glass of water to hand.
Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?
Pre-treatment, if the guest is a hotel guest or on a spa day, then make full use of the saunas and steam rooms to open the pores and encourage the products to sink deeper throughout the facial. Make sure your mobile phone is switched off so you can relax throughout as well! After the treatment, try not to wear make-up for four hours, drink plenty of water, if possible use the same products as in the treatment at home to enhance and maintain the results, and if you have time add the 30-minute peptide eye lift treatment for a more intense focus on the eye area.
Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?
Anybody with dry or dehydrated skin.
Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?
Anyone with skin conditions such as cold sores, cuts, or abrasions, and anybody going through cosmetic skin treatments.
