Celebrity Spotlight: Anna Williamson Visits Eden Hall Day Spa

It’s already been a busy year for Anna Williamson , so here the TV presenter has a well deserved spa day with her mum at the beautiful Eden Hall Day Spa in Nottinghamshire …

First Impressions

Eden Hall is set in an idyllic rural location not far off the A1 so it’s very easy to travel to from my home in Hertfordshire.  The beautiful historic building is set in lovely grounds with greenery all around; we relaxed from the moment we drove through the spa’s gates.

The Spa

Steam rooms, saunas, sleep rooms, swimming pools and even piping hot outdoor Jacuzzis – THIS is a spa worth taking a trip to.  There is everything you could dream of to ensure a relaxing pampered day is had.  The lighting, decor and overall atmosphere is superb and clearly very thought out; it’s faultless, all you need is a swimming cozzy and the rest is taken care of … robes, lotions, you name it, Eden Hall has it.

The Treatments

I experienced the well-named Perfectly Pampered day and in addition to all the luxurious facilities I was treated to an Elemis Wellbeing massage and facial which left me feeling totally chilled and yet rejuvenated at the same time.  After the lotions, potions and massaging, my lovely therapist lead me to a Recovery Lounge where I had a further snooze on a comfy lounger overlooking lush gardens – what’s not to love!?  I also enjoyed a Deluxe Pedicure which was certainly needed! My neglected feet were soon ready to don the summer sandals, and you even get to keep your nail polish of choice!

The Location

Set in rural gardens in Nottinghamshire, a stone’s throw from the A1(M), Eden Hall is brilliantly placed for a day’s get away.  We travelled up from Hertfordshire in just under two hours and arrived for a well-needed brunch of coffee and cake.  Easy to travel to and from, and in a perfect setting.

The Restaurant

As well as its spa, Eden Hall really does stand out for its food.  A lush menu full of plenty of choice including fish, chicken, salads, noodles, sticky puddings and cheese boards, we were stuffed by the end of the generous three-course lunch.  We were also treated to a crisp glass of fizz and chocolates in the afternoon which finished our day off perfectly.  The carrot cake is also to die for!

The Verdict

Eden Hall is exactly what a day spa should be – luxurious, atmospheric, full of amazing spa facilities and treatments and with exceptional staff to boot.  Everyone was so kind and seemed to genuinely love their job – to be honest, if I spent all day every day at Eden Hall, I’d be in a great mood too, I just can’t wait to go back!  Huge thanks to everyone, especially Chrissy, for looking after us so brilliantly.

Top Tips

– Take your flip flops or slippers as these are not automatically provided and you’ll want to protect your feet from the wet floors if walking through those areas.

– Ditch the Diet!  The food at Eden Hall is delicious and plentiful.  You’ll be spoilt for choice.

– As Eden Hall is only a day spa, unless you want to get up at the crack of dawn, you might like to stay at one of the cute nearby B&Bs to ensure you can enjoy every minute from the moment the spa opens.
