When Spabreakers are expecting, they know where to go to put their feet up for a while, as our very own mummy-to-be, Ellen O’Connor, found out on a visit to Bellinter House in Ireland!
What was the treatment?
It was a blissful 60-minute, Mums-to-Be Massage!
What did it involve?
I was able to lie on my stomach as I was only 16 weeks pregnant at the time, but nonetheless my therapist was able to adjust the massage bed, temperature, and the neck rest to make sure I was comfortable in any position I wanted to be in during the subsequent full back massage. This focused on my neck and lower back, and my legs and arms were also massaged, which felt amazing! I was also treated to a VOYA hair treatment and a scalp massage which finished the treatment off perfectly!
Why is it good for mums-to-be?
It was perfect as the first few months of my pregnancy were hard thanks to severe nausea. The relaxation and stress relief from the treatment was exactly what I needed!
What did you like the most?
I especially liked the scalp massage and hair treatment.
Was there anything you didn’t like?
Nothing! The entire treatment was fantastic and I will definitely be having another one before my due date!
What were the results?
This was a relaxation-based treatment and it definitely worked for me! My back and feet feel so much better!
Would you recommend it and why?
I would recommend any pregnant woman to this treatment at the Bellinter House! The staff and the therapists were just brilliant, and enjoying the relaxation rooms after the treatment definitely makes it an ideal way to take time and focus on being totally chilled out!
