Top Tips for Winter Skincare

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand we’re back – winter and all its skincare issues just in time for the party season to get going. No matter, we have an army of spa therapists and boy do they know what they’re doing… here, Sheen Falls Lodge give their guide to getting a winter glow…

winter skincare

The most common winter skincare issues are dryness, dull and sallow skin tone, sunspots, flaking and irritation, and the flare-up of some chronic conditions.

The magic three

Three things that everyone should do to protect their skin in the autumn include drinking lots of water to remain hydrated, applying moisturizer in morning and before going outside (giving it time to be absorbed ) and continuing to use sunscreen with a minimum SPF 15.

Must-have product

My must-have product is the Rosehip and Bio-regenerate Oil from Pai. I actually just discovered the oil recently and I just love it!

Must-have treatment

The best treatment for autumn is a body scrub and wrap to remove dry skin and nourish a new glowing skin.
I highly recommend the VOYA Warm Spice Mud Wrap. It uses stimulating and warming aromatic spices such as ginger and the uplifting fragrance of orange, and is rich in antioxidants, minerals and purifying elements. It is personalised to aid in the battle against fatty deposits, reduce the appearance of cellulite, and increase firmness in skin. The dual-action treatment aims to maintain and restore a harmonious figure.

Diet

Look for foods that are packed with nutrients to keep skin healthy, smooth, supple and wrinkle-free.
Take supplements, drink a lot of water and don’t forget about outdoor exercise, even when couch looks more welcoming!
