It’s orange. Not just a little bit orange, bright orange. When you put a drop of it into your hand it’s not any less orange than it is in the bottle, and when you smear it across your face it is still unmistakably, orange.
Nevertheless, this little bottle of Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil from Pai Skincare
is what is going to see you through the winter in glowing fashion (not because it’s orange, that does in fact dissipate once the oil sinks in, in a matter of seconds).
To give a little background, Pai Skincare launched at Ireland’s Sheen Falls Lodge. It is a range of certified organic products and treatments founded by Sarah Brown in 2007, and used by therapists with a combination acupressure techniques designed to relieve stress, increase blood flow, calm sensitive skin and reduce redness from within.
There are two principal strands to the range – the first is designed to detox and decongest and uses Himanthalia sea algae and rice plant water. The second aims to restore and regenerate using essential fatty acids (Omegas 3,6,7 and 9) required for skin suppleness and radiance – which ultimately is what one aims to look like most of the time (with varying degrees of success).
It is always that extra little bit reassuring when an oil is recommended personally by a therapist and that was exactly the case with Pai’s facial oil. Neatly designed, easy to use, and costing the the not incomprehensible sum of £20, it is a pleasantly natural and effective variation on the trend for facial oils that is a total joy to use and leaves you with that happy, healthy, glowy look… and not because it’s orange.
