Co-Founder and Managing Director Abi Wright started Spabreaks.com in 2008 alongside travel and leisure entrepreneurs Ross Marshall and Andrew Harding with a team of just two. Since then the Farringdon-based brand has grown into a team of near 70 employees working with in excess of 750 spas in the UK and overseas and sending approximately 200,000 people on spa days and residential breaks every year.
In 2012 Spabreaks.com ranked at number two in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, having become the market leader and an innovator in its field and won the London and South East EY entrepreneurship award for the best Emerging Brand.
An ambitious growth strategy and a unique and dynamic approach to selling spa experiences led to unrivalled growth, seeing revenue swell to £16m in 2014 from £250k in 2008 and is forecast to exceed £25m in the next two years. During this time the company has doubled the size of its call centre and customer service departments, whilst developing more advanced automated platforms and gift offerings to improve customer experiences.
With 16 years in the spa industry, Spabreak Direct paved the way for a new way to book at a time when other spa booking agencies were in their infancy. Over nearly two decades, high standards of customer service have seen the brand build strong relationships with customers and suppliers alike; creating the much loved and highly respected company that exists today.
