This month, Spabreaks.com’s social media guru Zeina shares her surreal photo from a family holiday in Lebanon. In between soaking up the culture, and grabbing hold of a little sunshine she went for a wander in Bourj Hammoud, known as the Armenian quarter of Beirut.
The area is famed for its craft and handmade knick knacks but obviously she was mainly in it for the cheap souvenirs, and to ogle the shop names (“all Armenian surnames infatuate me as they typically end in ‘ian’, which is something I love”).
Blessed with a curious sense of humour however, she was particularly tickled when she caught sight of this car stuffed to the brim with peppers and couldn’t resist taking a picture, saying: “it perfectly encapsulates the beautiful weirdness of one of my favourite countries.”
