I Would Rather Be… In Turkey

Turkey is now another destination in the Spabreaks.com repertoire, with a series of beautiful hotel spas to choose from including the new Cornelia Deluxe Resort and the Gloria Serenity Resort. Whether it’s the culture or the weather that leaves you dreaming of a holiday, our overseas expert Zerrin explains why on this particular day of the week, Turkey is where she would rather be…

The culture.

Being Turkish myself, any holiday to this beautiful country allows me to reconnect, but even if you’re not from there it’s a fantastic historic and cultural experience that has to be experienced at least once!

The food.

I may be biased but I have never had a bad meal in Turkey – it is just heavenly! Food is pretty high on my agenda when it comes to going away – yup, I am afraid I am that person taking a photo of my starter – but it’s so good I really don’t care. It’s worth noting that the food at Cornelia is available 24 hours a day. Yes, 24 hours a day – it’s a Mediterranean’s dream!

You can’t beat the service.

The staff are always so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble – which is a wonderful attitude that makes a huge difference to your holiday experience.

Families are welcome.

Turkey is great for families because it’s a big part of the culture. So there’s always an entertainment team on hand and lots of smiles to be had!

The sun.

Belek in particular is always a great place to go for guaranteed sunshine, which, if you’re anything like me is always a winning formula.

Spa treatments.

Turkey is a place that really knows its spa treatments. As a case in point, the spa at the Gloria Serenity Resort is outstanding. I had a bamboo massage when I was there, and it was incredible – nowhere near as scary as it sounds.
