Why it works… Jane Scrivner Body Balance Treatment

You know that feeling when you just feel a bit off-balance? Not entirely sure what’s wrong, but things just aren’t quite right? Well Brooklands’ BSpa have just the treatment to sort that out…

What exactly is the treatment?

The Jane Scrivner Body Balance Treatment is a 50-minute warm balm cleanse, which includes a quartz crystal exfoliation and a nourishing top-to-toe drench of jojoba and essential oils. Clients initially lay on the treatment table, and we cleanse and exfoliate the torso with quartz, apply a Balance body oil, and perform a leg buff massage. The client then faces upwards and we cleanse and exfoliate their face before applying the Elixir face oil with massage techniques. An Expert Eye technique is followed by an Ambient masque, which remains on while we apply the Balance body oil to the legs and arms. Once the face masque is removed, an Elixir moisturiser is applied, followed by a spritz, lip treatment and a calming brow technique.

Where does it come from?

Jane Scrivner is a natural, oil-based skin and bodycare range. Established in 2004, it started life as a series of individual products experienced by Jane herself, whilst travelling the world training spa therapists. It was this exposure to local oils, base products, and treatments that sparked the imagination. Picking from the best, the Jane Scrivner range was formulated. Each product is simple to use with a defined outcome expected from its application.

What is it supposed to do?

It is the most luxurious route to bringing you into a state of total body balance.

Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?

We advise that our clients body brush every day and use the Balance bath and body oil in their bath or as a daily moisturiser. The range’s nourishing cleanser can also be used daily to remove make-up as well as a weekly face mask.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

Arrive at BSpa in plenty of time and relax in our facilities to calm the mind and the body. That’s the best way to start the treatment. We have an outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam room and meditation room for guests to enjoy. Of course, if you really want to maximise the indulgence, book a manicure or pedicure to complete the experience.

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?

Luckily this treatment is suitable for all guests. As ever, we need to be aware of pregnancy, injuries and allergies, but all needs can be discussed.

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?

Only people over the age of 18 are allowed to use the BSpa facilities.

The power of the robe

There seems to be a day for just about everything, and in many ways one could be forgiven for thinking that 22nd April - otherwise known as National Robe Day - is not high on the list of priorities for many... unless you're a Spabreaker...
