What exactly is the point of detox? The world and his wife seem to be telling us to do it but why? Here Vilalara Longevity Thalassa & Medical Spa gives us their reasons for embracing detox…

detox

Under normal conditions, detoxification is a normal function that our bodies carry out daily, allowing us to process but environmental pollution, unhealthy diet, a sedentary lifestyle and stress seriously compromise our self-detox. So a detox assists our natural detoxifying system and helps us to regain a healthy balance, the strengthening of the immune system, an overall physical and mental well-being, and rejuvenation.

Why should I do it? If you feel any of the following it should be right up your street…

· I feel tired too often
· I sleep badly
· My ideas do not flow easily
· I’m gaining or losing weight with no plausible reason
· I have frequent headaches
· I feel bloated
· I have joint pain
· I have a difficult digestion and recurrent heartburn
· I catch colds easily
· I have regular allergy symptoms

Happily, if you then do your detox properly and with the right guidance you should get to the point where it all pays off. Longevity assure us that the results are worth the time and care of a good detox…

· It removes toxins, heavy metals and xenobiotics
· It repairs intestinal and liver function
· It replenishes energy levels and vitality
· It helps to prevent allergies
· It helps to improve the quality of the skin
· It stimulates the immune system and improves resistance to disease
· It supports weight control and volume loss
· It rebalances and revitalises the body in order to maintain optimal health
