Celebrity Spotlight: Kirsty Duffy Visits Norton Park

TV presenter Kirsty Duffy and her husband Ben visited Norton Park in Hampshire for a little babymoon R&R…

Being heavily pregnant and Ben only recently returning home from a long tour of Rock Of Ages, a mini spa break was ideal. We packed our bags and excitedly headed off to QHotels Norton Park.

An easy commute from our home in Hertfordshire, we arrived in a little over an hour and a half. The hotel was set in beautiful countryside with huge luscious grounds; it is hard to believe that this place is only a couple of hours away from the hustle and bustle of our wonderful capital.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by two very charming and welcoming receptionists who were polite and incredibly helpful. We were shown to our room which was in the old manor house rather than one of the many newer rooms. It was stunningly decorated with beautiful artwork, tasteful decor and lavish furnishings.

The bed was huge with expensive linen and cushions and we were very impressed not only with the quality but the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. The room had everything you would need including a well-stocked mini bar but white cotton bath robes and slippers as well as lovely complimentary toiletries. The views were breathtaking from the huge Georgian windows in our room which overlooked the secluded gardens and lake.

We decided to dine in the restaurant that evening and again were very impressed by the warm and engaging staff who promptly showed us to our table. The restaurant had a very different feel to the old manor house as it was in the main hotel building; it had a very relaxed atmosphere, was very modern and the food was excellent.

The following morning, Ben and I headed to the spa for our treatments and were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it was. It had lovely quiet and relaxing treatment rooms and the most gorgeous pool with loungers, a sauna, steam room and heated beds all around it.

Ben and I both opted for massages with mine being a pregnancy massage. We both felt utterly pampered; lovely ESPA products were used, which I have always been a fan of, and after our treatments we were taken to a relaxation room where we both fell asleep for an hour.

Ben and I travel a lot for work and have stayed in many hotels around the country and this is one we will definitely be returning to!
