Four spas all men should know about

What with Father’s Day coming up ‘n’ all, this month Spabreaks.com has been thinking specifically about boys. After all, relaxation is not just for girls. So here are the spa destinations that are the Yorkie bar of pampering experiences; little gems across the country that all men should know about…

the vale

The Vale Resort

It’s the king of activities and fun things to do. From golf, squash and tennis to family fun and extensive grounds to run around in before collapsing onto the treatment table and dozing off whilst having one of the best massages ever. The Vale Resort is ideal for groups of friends or a getaway with the family – brings a whole new meaning to the idea of a lads’ break doesn’t it?

the belfry

The Belfry

If you know golf then you will know The Belfry – its reputation precedes it, what with it being the UK headquarters for the PGA and all. Well in addition to the glorious game, this Northamptonshire venue is a surprisingly good night out thanks to its on-site Bel Air Nightclub, while the fire and ice thermal suite as well as 10 treatment rooms mean that it’s got everything you need to feel utterly relaxed afterwards as well (or at least it will help you to recover from your hangover anyway).

amida spa beckenham

Amida Spas

Scattered across the South East, Amida Spas offer a Men’s Grooming Day featuring a spa treatment that’s perfect for those who feel tired and a little bit fed up at the end of the working day. It’s a bit like a facial for your back and works to de-clog, de-stress and relax the skin and muscles so that you feel fresh as the proverbial daisy and ready to take on another day. It’s the ideal mid-week fix-me-up and comes with bonus points if you treat your other half to a treatment at the same time.

the grange

The Grange

For the athletes amongst you, you may be interested to know that Matt, the impressive owner of The Grange Spa is a bit of a master when it comes to triathlons, and now offers bootcamps and PT sessions. They also have massive tennis courts so there’s quite literally fun and games to be had before retiring to that herbal steam room in the afternoon. Who said fitness can’t be fun?!
