What are you up to at the moment?
Since having my son work has become insanely busy. I’ve just filmed some Red Carpet Fashion segments for E! covering the Golden Globes and have been doing tons of editorial, working with various publications. I have my first bag collection, Brix and Bailey By Naomi, launching this month, and have just started working with Matrix Daily as their Front Row and Red Carpet Reporter. I’m also brand ambassador for a hair company that will keep me busy with filming through 2016.
Where do your ideas come from?
Most of the time it’s from Fashion Week. My passion is to relay the fashion and beauty trends to my readers and followers in a more comprehensive manner, and to make it as accessible as possible.
Who’s your role model?
In terms of a TV career, definitely Giuliana Rancic the E! Entertainment host. She’s smart, talented, works incredibly hard, is gorgeous and a mum.
Who would play you in a movie?
God that is tough! Someone who could play a focused headstrong but sensitive woman, a bubbly girl next-door type. I think it would have to be Sarah Michelle Gellar.
What’s your earliest memory that inspired your work?
I’ve always been obsessed with fashion and the red carpet so it probably goes back to watching Fashion TV and E! when I was younger. I think it was Alexander McQueen with his incredible designs that struck a chord with me and inspired my initial obsession with fashion though. Couture fashion is like seeing an incredible masterpiece being created, the collections designers produce can actually make history.
Do you have a favourite piece in your bag collection?
It has to be my metallic silver and bronze clutch with a tassel. I love it and have been using it endlessly.
What’s the biggest lesson you have learned so far?
To always leave enough time for preparation; preparation in every situation is key, especially when in filming environments.
When you’re not working on being the next big thing, what do you do to relax?
For me relaxation is when I have a chance to switch off my phone and disconnect from the world for a while so ideally spending a day in a spa, swimming and having massages.
We encourage everyone to do one thing each week to be kind to themselves, what are you going to do this week to #bekindtoyou?
Treat myself to some me time!
