Following a sad start to the year for both the brand and the spa industry as a whole, when 63 year old Geraldine passed away after a long battle with cancer, Aromatherapy Associates is now welcoming an addition to the team in the form of new CEO Tracey Woodward.
Tracey has made her own name in the beauty and skincare industry, credited with building the Aveda brand in the UK as well as working as commercial director at Urban Retreat Spa at Harrods and Harvey Nichols, general manager for Modern Organic Products, brand manager for Donna Karan Beauty, and at Marks & Spencer, where she helped redesign and develop the beauty department.
Aromatherapy Associates are known for the quality of their products as well as the expert knowledge in blending therapeutic oils and the original ethos on which it was founded on has remained true; to share the power of essential oils and the incredible effects they have at a therapeutic level. They work without the use of harsh chemicals and unnecessary synthetics, to the benefit of the body and mind, having a dynamic effect on our emotional state.
It’s an exciting appointment on which we congratulate both Tracey and Aromatherapy Associates. We look forward to a positive partnership with lots of exciting developments to come.
As Tracey commented to Spa Opportunities: “Aromatherapy Associates is an iconic British brand and our intention is to build on the legacy of brand founder Geraldine Howard.” Certainly by staying true to Geraldine’s vision and putting her own experience to good use to make that happen we look forward to an exciting future at the much loved brand.
Keep your eyes on this one in 2016!
