It’s a month for celebrating the beauty of the South West, the picture perfect part of the UK that’s perfect for family holidays and romantic mini breaks alike – just think of the sandcastles and the ice cream – it’s what good memories are made of! So having recently looked at The Falmouth hotel, this week we are looking at Boscundle Manor Country House Hotel in its quiet little corner on the south coast of Cornwall…
1) The location:
The first thing to note about this hotel is its beautiful surroundings, nestled into woodland and its own gardens, coupled with coastal views and an overarching sense of peace that only good old Mother Nature can conjure.
2) The spa:
The spa and its beautiful treatments are definitely another highlight of the Boscundle experience. Using Cornish brand Spiezia who have won awards for their organic products, the treatment menu covers everything from aromatherapy treatments to reflexology and holistic therapies… we’re not sure where to start!
3) It’s romantic:
The combination of architecture, good food and beautiful location make Boscundle Manor a uniquely romantic destination that’s perfect for a weekend getaway without the children and simply enjoying quality time with your other half.
4) The food:
The restaurant has two AA Rosettes, the food is locally sourced and the menu changes on a regular basis, so there’s always something new to look forward to at meal times in the intimate restaurant. There are only eight tables available though so you are advised to book.
5) Local attractions:
The hotel is also a stone’s throw from The Eden Project, which of course is one of the area’s most prized attractions, and a complete must-see while you’re in the area, and if you’re anything like us it’s probably been on your to do list for some time, and now’s the time to make it happen. While it’s tempting to spend all your time in the spa when you’re here, the surrounding area of Cornwall from beaches and walks to local attractions provides a wonderful opportunity to explore.
