After 10 years of living in London, I had decided that I wanted to move to the countryside, get a dog and start a new adventure. Then, about five years ago, the ideal opportunity arose! I bought a 200 year old cottage, in need of a full renovation, in a pretty little village in rural Bedfordshire. When it came to creating the perfect interior to compliment the age of the property, I found everything a little too chintzy, “country cottage” and dated for me. So this sparked the idea of Plum & Ashby! I thought if I’m searching for these types of interiors, then others must be too!

I can spend hours wandering around antique shops and fairs, I’m always so fascinated about the history and I often find bits that make me nostalgic about my own childhood memories. So it is usually a mix of vintage inspired items and things I find in antique fairs!
