With 80 bedrooms, four of which are designed with disabled access in mind, the hotel prides itself on catering to all types of holiday, whether you’re looking to get away with your partner for the weekend (cue the four poster beds) or you’re looking for a place to stay with the family while you’re in town. For those looking for a little more space the Lauren suite has a separate lounge area and two king sized beds in it – lots of room to run around in there then.
The spa and facilities are very much a leisure experience rather than a specialised location, which means it’s a great environment for visiting families with the pool area welcoming children. However, that’s not to say there aren’t lots of facilities for parents and other guests to enjoy, far from it in fact. This is where the place comes into its own, with a gym, sauna, steam room, monsoon shower mud rasul, floatation tank, foot spa and relaxation zone in situ. Naturally all of that’s topped off by a good collection of spa treatments to take your pick from – can we point you in the direction of the seaweed wraps?
If you haven’t been to Lincoln yet then it’s worth the visit. The historic city has a beautiful cathedral that you have to explore as well as a castle which has played host to both kings and convicts and is also home to an original magna Carta from 1215. The hotel is also neatly positioned surrounded by lots of space and grounds with golf courses nearby, so you really get the best of all environments while you’re here.
There’s a range of food available in the Grand Restaurant, which is a relaxed environment catering to all preferences, and pretty much what you’re after following a day in the pool and exploring – just chilled out and enjoyable. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served in the same place, but if you fancy afternoon tea (who wouldn’t?) or a drink in the evening then the Martini Bar is the place to go.
Fun, relaxed and in a great location to explore the area!
– Try the rasul mud temple while you’re there, it’s a slightly different treatment for those who aren’t spa regulars and it’s thoroughly enjoyable – your skin will thank you.
– Head out and about to explore the surrounding area – Lincoln has a lot to offer!
– Book afternoon tea – after all, how often do you get to have it?
