Putting a little extra bounce in your life, using a trampoline is the sort of thing that takes you back to childhood, but it’s a surprisingly good way to build muscle and burn calories (approximately 407 calories an hour apparently) at the same time. If you’re lucky enough to have a reasonable sized garden then it’s something you can even do in the privacy of your own home… how’s that for a morning wake-up call?
Fly through the sky with the greatest of ease… we are telling you now, invigorating as it is, an aerial hoop class will give you a serious workout when it comes to arms and abs. we tried a class and we were aching for days afterwards… in a really really good way. If you’re looking to tone up this is the class to try!
Now that the sun’s shining the idea of getting into the sea is hopefully a little more appealing, and who wouldn’t want to get that beach babe surfer girl/boy look for their summer holidays after all? Not merely the domain of ultra cool teenagers, surfing has seen a resurgence amongst city dwellers pottering off to the British coast for a weekend mini break. Get urban life out of your hair for a little while and work that core strength… plus there’s a serious sense of achievement and feel-good factor that comes with progress made every time!
Ok, it’s not weird, but it is wonderful. Taking up a dance class like Salsa gets the body moving in a completely different way to your bog standard gym routine, and it’s good for mind, body and soul. Get the right class and it’s a bit of a giggle as well. Apparently a 60-minute salsa class will burn on average 405 calories as well, which is not dissimilar to going for a run of a similar length!
