While a good kiss might get your heart pounding it actually helps to reduce blood pressure. It gets the heart all hot and bothered in a positive way, dilating blood vessels and getting blood flowing to all your vital organs.

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise that kissing gets all your feel good chemicals going. Serotonin and dopamine are amongst them, making you feel revitalised and relaxed.
Granted, kissing doesn’t burn many calories so it’s probably not going to replace your regular workouts on the fitness front. However, apparently a vigorous ‘session’ can burn up to 16 calories per kiss – but you have to really commit to it!
