Autumn is in full swing, and with a winter chill in the air Portugal’s Pine Cliffs is the perfect place to escape. Here’s five reasons you HAVE to visit…

The scenery

Framed by an idyllic landscape of manicured gardens, Pine Cliffs boasts a selection of family leisure options including five outdoor swimming pools and one indoor pool. The resort covers an extensive area that also includes a golf course and academy.  There’s a state of the art fitness centre, a tennis academy, and private beach access. There is also complimentary resort transport available to make it that much easier to see absolutely everything.

The beaches

Perched above the stunning beaches of the Algarve, the Atlantic ocean opens up in front of you. Not only are there staggering views from the golf course but, accessed by private panoramic elevator, the beach club presents you with jaw dropping vistas over the ocean where you can dine at leisure.

The food (and champagne)

There are a number of venues to eat and drink. With its outdoor, cliff-top setting, shaded by towering pine trees and broad umbrellas, the Mirador Champagne Bar offers visitors one of the most iconic backdrops in Europe. Sandstone cliff faces and views of the coastline might almost make you forget to finish that glass of champers… almost. Showcasing a mix of regional and international cuisine, the restaurants cater to a variety of palates with many of the ingredients sourced locally.

The golf

The golf course runs along the cliff tops, once again providing inspiring views of the Atlantic coast. Some holes require that bit of extra care as the cliff is right next to the fairway.

The spa

The Serenity Spa balances the art of well being with state of the art surroundings. There’s a variety of spa experiences to choose from including outright pampering or a more holistic approach.  There’s something for everyone whether you’re staying for one day or one week.

N/B…

Don’t forget, this isn’t just an experience for adults. Pine Cliffs caters beautifully for families with 7000 square meters of pure fun. Porto Pirata organizes daily activities by age that include finger painting, arts and crafts, treasure hunts, water games, face painting and various sporting activities.
