The Vineyard in Berkshire has chosen a new product house and it’s all about holistic skincare that can tackle modern life. Here’s why they chose Elemental Herbology…

Why did you choose Elemental Herbology?

Elemental Herbology takes a holistic approach to skincare which fits with our spa ethos. We believe it’s important that treatments that are not only tailored to the needs of the client’s body and wellbeing. Elemental Herbology follows the principles of Chinese medicine.

The holistic approach focuses on the five elements, using a questionnaire discover which products will be best suited. The questionnaire touches on the client’s preferences such as their favourite season, time of the day and when they feel most fatigued. This means that we can understand how our clients feel on the day of treatment and tailor it so they get the best treatment and outcome.

Provenance is also important to us when it comes to sourcing produce, whether it’s in our restaurant or our spa. We try and support local companies in every way we can and we are delighted that Elemental Herbology products are made in the UK.

What made you want to change product lines?

Wellness has generated a real buzz in the spa industry over the last few years. We are seeing that more people are recognising the connection between their mind and body. Elemental Herbology allows us to offer a holistic approach which means we can offer more choices to our clients.

Do you have a favourite treatment in the collection?

The Thai Chi Flow massage is great for releasing tight muscles as it incorporates Swedish massage principles, acupuncture, Thai yoga stretches and warm poultices. This leaves you feeling re-energised and balanced.

The Rejuvenating Age Support Facial is also amazing for improving the appearance of ageing. It helps to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as the elasticity and radiance of the skin. We love it because it gives immediate and long lasting results.

Do you have a favourite product and why?

The Hyaluronic Booster Plus Serum is the product our spa manager can’t live without. It uses very low molecular weight hyaluronic acid to ensure deep penetration of the skin layers. It gives an instantly youthful plumpness to the skin and keeps it hydrated for the whole day.

Top tip for Autumn and winter skincare

Spa manager Kirsty Pienaar says that both your needs and skin change with each season so it is always good to re-evaluate your skincare. In the winter we recommend using richer products, especially at night time, to replenish the skin when it’s repairing and to prevent it from drying out the next day. It is also important to make sure you use a cream in the daytime to protect your skin from the colder temperatures.
