She explained not only the benefits of yoga and raw food, but also how to realistically incorporate it into a busy lifestyle. It’s something she goes into detail about on her upcoming retreat at OUT OF THE BLUE Capsis Elite Resort this month.
So, straight from the self-described Malteser addict, here Elaine gives us a little taste of what’s to come, with her recipe for basic raw chocolate…
70g raw cacao butter
50g raw cacao powder
1-2 tbsp raw agave syrup
Place the cacao butter in a bowl and place the bowl over a saucepan of just boiled water. Do not let the bowl sit in the water, it must be above it.
Once the cacao butter is melted, stir in the cacao powder and mix well.
Add the agave syrup a little at a time until you reach your desired sweetness.
Pour the chocolate mixture into silicone chocolate moulds (I spoon it in carefully) and then freeze for 20 mins.
These are VERY intense so don’t eat too many!
All equipment must be clean and dry. Any water entering the chocolate mixture, even the tiniest drop, will cause it to separate and whilst it will taste ok it simply won’t work!
