The spa in Shropshire, which joined the Spabreaks.com collection this month, is the first to work with spa consultancy Spa Creators, designers of the SpaShell, to install these contemporary structures that are built off-site and do not require traditional foundations.
The innovation offers boutique hotels two modular pod size options – one with four treatment rooms, and one with eight, including thermal suites and Italian-designed saunas and steam rooms, an outdoor vitality pool made and monsoon drench showers.
Each spa pod is clad in Siberian larch wood, which was chosen for its low maintenance and ability to blend easily with its surroundings, and Elemis skincare is used in all treatments, along with Lava Shells, Mii Makeup and Jessica Nails.
Fishmore Hall itself is a country house hotel overlooking Ludlow and the surrounding countryside. A visit here is all about luxury and romance. It is a beautifully restored Georgian house, with 15 contemporary bedrooms beautiful grounds where activities including Nordic Walking are a favourite pastime for guests.
The SpaShell provides an extension to the Nspa, which is recommended by Vogue, and offers a wide range of luxurious treatments from professionals who include the likes of Keira Knightley amongst their clientele.
Alistair Johnson, founder and managing director of SpaShell told Spa Opportunities: “We’re incredibly proud and excited to be launching the UK’s first SpaShell at Fishmore Hall… this represents five years of design and planning to reach this stage.”
