Made in Cornwall, the Spiezia spa brand products – a series of balms, oils, lotions and potions – use the synergy of organic herbs and flowers to be effective and uplifting. They are also simply lovely to use and of course are not only a beautiful experience at home, but are also spa grade and used by seriously talented therapist who do wonderful things with a few drops of essential oils.
Certified 100% organic by the Soil Association, the Spiezia spa brand has a reputation for its green credentials, particularly important to them because of their inextricable belief in health and body care. For example, they note that with the skin being the largest organ of your body, up to 2kg of chemicals can be absorbed through it each year just from toiletries and skin care products – a scary prospect when you think about it. So these balms and oils are formulated using a unique method of capturing solar and lunar energy, captured in recycled glass bottles and jars.
A weighty list of botanicals are the cornerstone of the Spiezia product line, from apricot kernels to carrots, vanilla bean to ylang ylang, it is an A-Z of nature’s finest ingredients and the powers they can yield.
As testament to the gentle qualities of this spa brand’s products, a range within the selection is specifically designed for use with clients who have or are recovering from cancer, with take home products available as well and therapists trained to support those with cancer when they visit the brand’s own spa. They say: “we work closely with dermatologists and health experts to ensure that we have pure and effective products for those undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy and at any stage of their cancer journey.”
From an experience point of view, it’s really impossible to fault the Spiezia spa brand. Two defining factors of a spa experiences are. – did you enjoy it? And did it work? In the case of our Spiezia treatments to date, a resounding yes is the answer to both questions.
Having tried the Mindful Moments 60-minute meditation and massage experience which includes a calming foot ritual, head, neck and shoulder massage along with a firm and meaningful back massage most recently, we achieved a state of relaxation that left us half asleep and pretty much dribbling on the treatment bed (always a good sign). Plus we smelled perfumed and delightful throughout the rest of the day. a particular is the Daily Rejuvenating Rose and Vanilla face oil, which tastes good enough to eat, but, unsurprisingly, is even better used on your face.
