If starting the summer with Download this Friday at Castle Donnington in Derby, it’s a chance to see rock legends Aerosmith as well as Biffy Clyro, System of a Down, Sum 41 and more in the three day rock and metal fest complete with two outdoor stages and a chill out area in the woods. From 21st to 25th June, Glastonbury is back and arguably the most famous of all UK festivals. At Henham Park in Suffolk, Latitude is a comparatively young member of the festival tribe having started in 2006. It famously comprises elements of theatre, art, comedy, cabaret, poetry, politics, dance and literature and this year sees the likes of Mumford and Sons, The Horrors, Goldfrapp and The Coral amongst the line up. It’s a bit of a trek, but en route why not head to Lifehouse Spa and Hotel for some real pampering. Put some flower remedies to their proper use, eat home grown food and get mind and body in the best shape possible to enjoy the vibe.
From 30th June to 9th July, BST Hyde Park is a music festival held over two weekends once a year in London’s Hyde Park and this year features The Killers, Kings of Leon, Green Day, Justin Bieber and more. Multi award winning and easy to get to, it has the buzz of this fabulous city doing down time the way it does best – high octane and lots of fun.
