We’re suckers for a fairytale, and the beauty of Rudding Park is certainly the perfect backdrop for a little magic, and with their Sleeping Beauty spa break, the stage really is set.
Surrounded by 300 acres of parkland, Rudding Park is a luxury hotel in Harrogate, the famous spa town in North Yorkshire. In palatial surroundings and in a hotel complete with two restaurants, a private cinema, two golf courses and a golf academy, it has been voted in the top three hotels in the UK for 10 consecutive years.
“A feast for the senses”
This year it took one extra leap into the world of exclusivity however, when they completed a phenomenal makeover of the spa, making it one of the most comprehensive and beautiful spas in the UK and recapturing Harrogate’s spa heritage using natural waters from Rudding Park. What was once a luxurious extra to the hotel experience, is now a feast for the senses in a dedicated annexe within the hotel grounds and encompassing three floors dedicated to health and wellbeing.
In celebration of this awe inspiring location, and in keeping with its regal sensibilities, Rudding Park has launched their Sleeping Beauty overnight spa break, a package designed to really enjoy what they have on offer and take in a true spa experience in a location that has seen its progression across the centuries.
“Celebrate Harrogate’s spa heritage”
The package includes one night’s bed and breakfast, a £40 food allowance towards dinner at either Horto or the Clocktower restaurants, a choice of one 50 minute treatment, use of robes, towels and slippers, use of the Mind and Sense Zones on the day of treatment and full use of the spa facilities from 3pm on the day of arrival to 11am on the day of departure.
To further celebrate Harrogate’s spa heritage, and the natural springs from which it all started, the hotel is also working with the Royal Pump Room Museum in Harrogate. This allows guests a complimentary 15 minute tour to see (and smell) the original wells and learn about their role in the area’s development as a thriving spa town, home to the strongest Sulphur Well in Europe – perhaps less of a fairytale experience, but one that may have woken Sleeping Beauty herself.
